Here are a few pictures from our evening at the Violet Festival in Pickerington on Friday night. My brother always drives an old firetruck that he rebuilt and we had awesome seats at the firehouse to view the festivities.
This past Friday turned out warm and sunny, a rarity in Ohio this summer - so we hit the pool! As usual, Katy had a great time and we ended up running into a few friends as well which made for a nice afternoon:)
I woke up Friday morning to Katy coming into my room with her hands full of hair barrettes. She set them on my bed and said, "Mommy, please put these in my hair!". I asked her, "All of them?" and she replied "Yes - Mommy!" (insert attitude). Thank you Nana Neesie for all of her great hair accessories!
Next, she decided it was her turn to take some self portraits...Aren't these cute?! And their not bad considering her tiny arms and hands handling the camera.
This weather sure has been chilly for summer!! But we got to go swimming anyway - indoors:) Friday night we were celebrating Aunt Susie's birthday. She and I got a room at the Hilton so I was able to take Katy swimming in the afternoon before Girl's Night began...sorry Katy you're with the boys while the girls went out to play at Easton. Although you had a blast with Papa, Daddy and Uncle Shad.
We went to a birthday party last Saturday for one of Katy's friends Brooke...she turned 6! It was at the Johnstown pool and we were really lucky because the weather was stormy all day but broke just as the party started!! Although Miss Brooke was so busy playing with all of the kids I couldn't get Katy and her together for a picture.
This is Meg...Katy is her little shadow! I love this kid!! Ashtyn, Meg and Katy Dare devil Meg going down the waterslide! Daddy having fun on the diving board! Meg, Katy and Will
We spent the holiday weekend out in Cardington with Nana Neesie's family on their family farm. We had a wonderful time camping, fishing and eating smores by the fire and best of all - spending time with our family!
Daddy and Aunt Bobo were excited to teach Katy how to fish and she LOVED it! Papa Lin bought her her own Barbie fishing pool which became the lucky pole of the weekend! Her 1st fish! Picnic lunch by the pond. Nana Neesie, Great-Grandma Dena & Great-Grandma Rhonda Little Lady Liberty Katy and her best-friend Tyler. The gang! Tyler's 1st fish!
Katy got cowboy boots while we were in Missouri and she LOVES them, but there aren't many opportunities to be able to wear them in the summer. Although she insisted on putting them on to play outside and I couldnt say "No", she looks so cute in them!!
Can you guess why she has that scowl on her face? May be its because I have the camera out again...bad Mommy!
