Pool time with Daddy!

As the summer is winding down, Katy and I finally got Daddy to the pool! It was a hot and steamy Sunday, but we had fun cooling off and playing in the water:)

Our family reunion is always a blast and this year was no exception. The weather was humid but warm and no rain - YEAH!!

It ended abruptly because we had a little problem...

Although the Metzger's are always prepared and had another hay wagon on its way to save the ride!

I live for Fridays!!!

Friday's are the BEST day of the week, because it's the day Katy and I spend the day doing something special together!! Lately, the weather has been good so we've been going to the pool.

She is very proud of her Sponge Bob popcicle!




That evening we went and had pizza with Grandma Dena. Katy decorated our noses with stickers...she can always make me laugh!

Who knew?

Who knew that this adorable little face would become so ornery? Here are a few of the latest Katyisms...

"Please, can I run around naked?"
---Then she proceeds to run around naked singing...
"Shake your booty!"
OR
"You can't catch my booty!"

"Daddy, what are you thinking about?"

"There are no more ghosters, Daddy killed them all!"
--Not sure where the word ghosters came from, but its much cuter than ghosts.

Mommy: "Katy, lets go potty."
Katy: "No Mommy, I don't poop anymore!"

Katy: "Mommy come here!!!"
Mommy: "I'll be there in a second."
Katy: "Mommy, you have 3 seconds or your going to time out! 1...2...3

"Can I have some more (insert any food item) it's very tasty!"

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Daddy's birthday is Monday, August 3rd, but in true Metzger tradition, we celebrate birthdays at a minimum of a week. So the festivities started this weekend!!It started off with a party with some friends over at my parents house.







There are 3 birthday people at this table...Todd, Tammy and James and they had some help from the kiddos in blowing out their candles.


What can I say? The kid loves her cupcakes!!

Lately Katy's favorite show is the Little Mermaid series on Disney, in addition to the movie! We were at the mall on Saturday and took her in the Disney store and what did she walk out with? An Ariel and Cinderella Barbie dolls. She is very proud of her new toys!

For some reason she inisited on playing with her new dolls in front of a mirror and that's why we are in the bathroom.



She is fascinated by Ariel's hair.


This photo was taken by Katy, and she asked if we could have a photo shoot with her dolls. Like mother, like daughter! She is getting better about the camera these days especially if she is the photographer!
