We went to the Pickerington parade and fireworks for the 4th. My brother always drives an old firetruck in all of their parades and we get great seats at the firehouse. It was a great evening despite the heat and humidity!!
A quick nap before the festivities begin!
Unfortunately, as you can see Katy does not quite enjoy the fireworks, but they mesmerized Ava.
I finally got the nerve to take Ava to the pool and invited Tammy and Tyler to join us. It was hot, but fun and the kids enjoyed themselves. Ava did great as well, she slept a majority of the time. She loves to be outside, whenever we are she just seems so peaceful and relaxed!
Having a 2nd child in the house has put me behind in my blogging...so here is our June so far:)
My girls
4 weeks old
Since I'm breastfeeding, it is rare anyone gets a chance to feed Ava. Although preparing to go back to work and going to an upcoming wedding has given others a chance to feed her the "boob juice" through a bottle. Daddy's in love!!
Grandma Sandy, Katy and Cousin Rowen helping out with dinner.
Aunt Tiffany and Cousin Rowen came from Colorado to visit.
Two weeks today, Lil Miss Ava was born on May 11th, 2010. She weighed 7 lbs. 2.2 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. Life with 2 children has been chaotic and exciting all at once!!
I also want to apologize to Miss Katy - she now has to share her blog with her sister Ava. In an instant, her world has been turned upside down and she is no longer the center of attention like she is accustomed to:( In the eyes of a 3 year old - I know that has to be hard.
On the bright side, she will have a best friend for life and someone she can confide in and she doesn't even now it yet. She is a lucky girl to have a sister to share her life with and I can tell already she is going to be a great big sister. Katy is very helpful not only to me and Todd, but whenever Miss Ava is crying or unhappy she is there to console her and make her feel better. Katy likes to sing to her and help in pretty much anything we do for Ava. Katy - we love you very much!!
This was a gift that Ava gave to Katy...it was a newborn babydoll with a car seat. Mommy and Katy both got to come home with new little babies!
My parents have an awesome Japanese Cherry tree on the side of their house. Last weekend, the wind was blowing so hard, it was snowing flowers. Papa suggested we should go play in it...it was so much fun!
