It's cereal time!

Ava is more than ready for solids...everytime we are eating and she is near the table that girl tries to snatch the food right off of your plate or fork. You really have to watch because she is super fast!! As we thought, she LOVED cereal and her fruits and veggies. Daddy loves it too because he now can feed her as well since she's still on the boob juice:)




Apparently Daddy wasn't shoving it in fast enough, because she took it upon herself to take the spoon and shove it in herself!

Ballet & Tap

Katy started ballet and tap class this past week and she loves it!! She adores her teacher, Miss Amy and wishes that she gets to go to class everyday! Here are a few pics posing in her tap and ballet shoes.

Lip Smackin

Ava is starting to teeth and has been slobbering a lot and putting everything in her mouth. In the process, she has figured out how to smack her lips and it cracks me up!! She reminds me of my late Grandpa Bert when he forgot to put his dentures in!

OBX - Part II

Our vacation is coming to a close, as we leave on Sunday. Although we have had an awesome 10 days, which is especially great since I was unsure how Ava would fair to all of the change being so young. But she has proved to be a true beach baby and has loved the sand, ocean and is a real trooper...she really just goes with the flow!


We are out to dinner at Awful Arthurs Oyster Bar (one of favorites) and she is enjoying her strawberry daquiri.

As you can see, Ava was so content at the beach that she slept a majority of the time.

OBX - Part I

Our annual trip to Nags Head, North Carolina is here and we are having a blast!! It's had to believe that my first trip down to this very same beach was 27 years ago and I was just about Katy's age. I've been lucky enough to not miss a year since and that was 1983!! I'm just thankful that I now get to share the same experiences with my husband and kids and we are making great memories for them as well. Here is the first installment of our adventures!

I do believe the beach is Katy's new favorite place, we can't seem to keep her off of it unless its time to sleep!

This is Nikki, one of Katy's many beach friends that she has made on this trip! She isn't shy and loves to play and meet new people everyday! We've been lucky to have such great company down here this year to play with her!

Oh my how she's grown...

I still can't get over how quickly 3 months has passed! It's sad to say that I'm already missing that baby stage with her, but on the brighter side her personality blossoms each day and this is one SWEET little girl!! Full of smiles anytime of the day, a great conversationalist - she talks and coos all of the time and she is just goes with the flow of the family.

Our latest adventures...

So it seems that my time flys by me way too fast and I'm always trying to catch up on my blog...so here we go again!. We've been very busy this month but I am enjoying very minute of this summer with my girls!

I went back to work this past Tuesday which I'm not extremely excited about but I'm through the 1st week and that is an accomplishment. A lot of tears were shed and I got my first speeding ticket, but we made it through in one piece!

New Skills!

A few days before Ava turned 10 weeks old, she has learned to roll from her back to her belly. This girl takes after her sissy and doesn't stop moving when she is awake! She doesn't cease to amaze me every day:)
